After two years of virtual or hybrid meetings, the IPA’s Educational Publishers Forum (EPF) had a physical meeting in London on 8 April, the day after the London Book Fair. Held at the headquarters of Hodder Education, thanks to the hospitality of Executive Committee member Lis Tribe, the meeting examined EPF members’ experiences of working with EdTech during the COVID pandemic. As well as hearing country updates from each EPF member the meeting discussed initiatives that would get books to Ukrainian refugees. The highlight of the meeting was a presentation by Inge Molenaar of Radboud University in the Netherlands who spoke about the application of Artificial Intelligence in schools.

The next EPF meeting will again be a virtual one on 10 June. The usual EPF Open Meeting at the Frankfurt Book Fair will take place on Friday 21 October and we are planning the last meeting of the year on 17-18 November in a European city to be determined. An exciting development is a planned meeting of the LatAM EPF in São Paulo Brazil on 1-2 July.
