Ms Alves Bravin has over 25 years’ experience in publishing, and is now the Head of Saber Education, the largest education group in Brazil and one of the largest in the world. She was standing for the position publisher director on the IFRRO board, replacing Sarah Faulder the Chief Executive of Publishers’ Licensing Services (PLS) in the UK, who had been in the position since 2019.

The IPA also supported a new ‘substitute’ publisher director as nominated by the STM organization. His name is Duncan Campbell from the multinational publisher, Wiley, and is based in the UK. Mr Campbell was also elected unopposed and replaces Ms Eefke Smit (Director of Standards and Technology at STM), who was a longtime member of the IFRRO board and worked closely with IPA’s representatives there for many years.

We wish Flávia and Duncan all the best in their new positions as we bid a fond farewell to Sarah and Eefke.
