The Chair of the LatAm EPF, Eduardo Rodrigues from the Brazilian educational publisher Saber, introduced the three Working Groups set up during the LatAm EPF’s São Paulo meeting in July. The Working Groups are focused on the Digital Transformation of Educational Publishing; Public Educational Policies; and Anti-Piracy. Members of the Working Groups who were present at the meeting reported on their progress — for example, the Public Educational Policies WG is drafting new case studies for the IPA website about the educational publishing ecosystems in Argentina, Colombia and Mexico.

After extensive discussions, the meeting endorsed these three working groups and thanked those involved for their work. There were almost 25 publishers present from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico and Spain. Future meetings of the LatAm EPF are planned for Bogotá, Colombia; Buenos Aires, Argentina; and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

If any Latin American publishers reading this report should be interested in joining any of the three working groups, please contact Eduardo Rodrigues as soon as possible on eduardo.rodrigues@saber.com.br.
