Publishers wake up to the possibilities of YouTube

Each month, over a billion people visit YouTube, watching 6 billion hours of video. Now publishers are waking up to the possibilites the channel creates for book discoverability and marketing.

The IPA interviewed YouTube about the opportunities which this audience growth creates for publishers, and how publishers can create engaging, shareable videos and channels. We also interviewed Christine Riccio, host of the polandbananasBOOKS channel (160,000 subscribers) about how publishers are starting to collaborate directly with “book tubers”.
