Copyright was high on IPA’s and our members’ agenda this September. Our Copyright Committee meeting took place on September 13th and gathered representatives from over 40 countries across IPA’s membership. This was also the month when we launched IPA’s copyright regional meetings, with the support of our members.
Award winning Zimbabwean author, Tsitsi Dangarembga, given 6 month suspended prison sentence as lengthy proceedings come to an end. IPA condemns this judgement and the threat it represents to freedom of expression in Zimbabwe.
Karine Pansa (Girassol Brasil Edições, Brazil) confirmed as President-elect of the IPA, with Gvantsa Jobava (Intelekti Publishing, Georgia) confirmed as Vice President-elect at third virtual IPA General Assembly.
