Indian publisher, Asoke Ghosh was awarded the inaugural IPA Champion Award to celebrate his decades of service to the international publishing community to help the IPA achieve its goals on behalf of the publishing industry.
A crucial part of IPA's mission is to inform member associations and the wider global publishing community about breaking developments which will impact publishers. We do this through a number of channels. the IPA website, our monthly e-newsletter, press releases and the IPA's dedicated social media feeds.
At the end of October and in early November, the regional associations for publishers in Africa and then Europe, held their elections to elect new boards and Presidents.
In this third extract of his forthcoming book 'The Fifth Quarter Century - The International Publishers Association 1996-2021', IPA Past President looks back at the period 2004-2008.
